Reintegration of the former open-air swimming pool in the city ramparts of Ypres.
This remarkable location will be a meeting space within the green and historic setting of the city ramparts. It is a mythical place in the collective memory of Ypres, where residents spent many beautiful summer months before the pool closed its doors in 2001.
Our team was chosen from a selection of four design offices. The project includes design research, a participatory process and the detailed development of the future layout of the site. With B-juxta, we are responsible for the integration of the historical architectural elements into the park environment.
