HR manager

full time or 4/5, in our Antwerp headquarters

Are you a people person? Do you have a strong sense of empathy and a well-trained EQ? Then read on, as we are looking for an experienced HR manager. You will be responsible for the administrative employees and architects within B-architecten, B-bis, B-city & B-juxta and further contribute to a working environment where everyone gets the value and support that they need.

Role

At B, you will be part of a young, growing, and, above all, very close team. You will have a great deal of personal contact with your colleagues while fulfilling a wide and challenging range of HR tasks, such as:

  • Further develop and optimise the existing staff policy
  • Participate in the area of recruitment, follow-up after recruitment and peer reviews
  • Administrative follow-up of performances and absences
  • Payroll processing and keeping personnel files up-to-date
  • Co-organising of internal and external training courses
  • Co-organising team activities - a well established feature in our office and, as far as we are concerned, a must in order to create and maintain a close bond with each other beyond our daily tasks

Profile

A minimum of experience is not required. What matters to us is your enthusiasm and drive to jump in and contribute to the well-being of our team. You find yourself in the following:

  • Team oriented, empathic, discrete, communicative
  • Enterprising, hands-on, assume responsibility
  • Strong in figures, knowledge of Excel / Google sheets
  • An interest in or having a legal background may be an advantage
  • Having a background or interest in social legislation is a plus. Yet, we are supported by an experienced partner.

Languages

  • Dutch
  • English
  • knowledge of French is an extra asset

Your salary is subject to the conditions that apply to our white-collar workers. You will be remunerated according to a fair and transparent system which you, as HR manager, will be able to contribute to. We also offer you a mobile phone with accompanying subscription, hospitalisation insurance, meal vouchers, a fixed expense allowance and no less than 35 days' holiday. For sustainability reasons, we do not offer a company car, but we do have numerous green means of transport. In addition, at B we work with an application that allows you to book all professional traffic directly by yourself - and at our expense.

Besides the promised competitive salary, flexible working hours and horizontal work environment where autonomy is key, we believe well-being is just as important as prosperity. That’s why we value your work-life balance and created a rich tradition of well-developed team activities over the years, such as a daily healthy lunch for all employees, snacks, refreshing ice-cream or comfort food depending on the weather, pilates lessons on Wednesdays and the monthly B-café, where we invite external speakers to give a lecture. Every year we go on a day trip to B-projects in the implementation phase and in the month September we always go on a two-day journey. We start our holidays traditionally with a cosy Christmas dinner and a summer BBQ in the courtyard of our B-office.
