The beguinage Onze-Lieve-Vrouw ter Hoyen, also known as the Small Beguinage, is a typical walled city beguinage that is still very authentic and atmospheric after 750 years of history. The most recent buildings date from the 17th and 18th centuries. The entire beguinage was protected as a monument and landscape on 30 October 1963; in 1998, it was also declared a World Heritage Site.

B-juxta has been involved in the phased restoration of the impressive and unusual site since 1995. After restoration, the buildings will retain their residential function and meet all contemporary standards of comfort. A sustainable new use is guaranteed and the long-term preservation of the beguinage as a historical site is ensured. This vision is also laid down in a heritage management plan, which was approved on 22.10.2019.
